Jo Moir Said:
This article gives the impression that this event is giving all takings to breast cancer appeal. Unfortunately that is not true. The farmer and AP Productions will take the money and a contribution apparently will be made from profits.
I am a resident approximately 30 meters from the site and am very angry and upset that this event is taking place in a tranquil and unspoilt piece of countryside.
AP Productions agree with Mrs Moir’s comments that the last paragraph of this press release is misleading. We can confirm that a donation will be made to the Breast Cancer Appeal with proceeds from a fundraising raffle.
AP Productions would like to state that the “Legends of Rock ‘n’ Roll” festival is an event in celebration of such icons as Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison. It is not an ‘all-night rave’ with drum and bass music being played; it is a professionally organised, advanced ticket only, music event.
On the advice of the responsible authority groups, stringent rules and regulations have been adhered to with regards to security, fire, safety and environmental health issues.
AP Productions have no deliberate intention of upsetting or offending local residents.
AP Productions wish to bring wealth and prosperity to the community. They are able to offer contracts of work to their suppliers with each company and trade person involved, being given the opportunity to conduct and enhance their business.
