American roots-rock artist Webb Wilder has never been shy about his love for The King, and in the cult-movie “Horror Hayride” he performs one of the greatest ever tributes to Elvis. The highlight of the movie is a scene in which a student at a party is making fun of Elvis, annoying Wilder enough to get up and perform his own “T.C.B. Yodel # 9”, together with fellow roots-rock performer Ted Roddy (who will be performing in ‘The Original Elvis Tribute 2009’ in May 2009). The song has some of the coolest lyrics ever heard in an Elvis tribute, and it includes the immortal line: “If you don’t think Elvis is # 1, you’re full of # 2”. At a recent radio performance, Wilder performed the song live on the radio, and you can see the clip here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxcTFcbjc8E
