Tupelo Celebrates Elvis’ 74th Birthday

TUPELO - On Jan. 8, 1935, the eventual King of Rock n’ Roll was born in Tupelo, and Elvis Presley’s hometown has a trio of events scheduled for the 74th anniversary of his birth.

Remembering Lee Denson

Lee Denson, born in 1932, who recorded at Hollywood’s Goldstar Studio in 1957 the classic rockabilly song “New Shoes”, with Eddie Cochran (gtr) and Connie “Guybo” Smith (bs), just passed away and was buried on Saturday, November 10th.
